Have a look around at the collections, blog and Pinterest to inspire what style you would like your special day to have. Think about what type of wedding/party you want to have? Will it be formal or super laid back? This will reflect the wording and design of the stationary I design for you.

After initial contact detailing your stationary dreams I will be in touch to discover more about you and answer any of your questions.

Once you’ve got your dreams sorted just complete an enquiry form which will give us a brief idea of what you want us to create.

Shortly after I receive your form I will follow this up with an email if it is custom order. If you require a bespoke order I will contact you to set up a meeting either by phone or in person - Opposite of Ordinary is based in Bristol - It would be lovely to meet you!  This is where we can find out more about each other - I will listen to your ideas in more detail and you can ask any questions you may have.

As soon as we have established details, budgets and deadlines we can get to work once all the t’s are crossed and i’s are dotted on the plan of action.

After our conversation I will send you a BIG PLAN. This will detail exactly what items I plan to create for you, timescales and costs.

Once I received a signed copy of the BIG PLAN along with 50% of the total fee I will get to do what I absolutely love - creating amazing things just for you!

Throughout the creation process I will pin ideas on a secret Pinterest board for you. Here you can comment on what I’ve posted and pin your own inspirations. This quick and easy collaboration will give us both reassurance that I am creating something you will absolutely love!

After creating design options I will send them to you via email. Your first complimentary proofs will be sent within 10 days (custom orders) or within 3 weeks (for bespoke orders).

Once you have approved the final proofs the remaining 50% of the fee will be require before the designs can be printed.

Printing time can vary depending on methods used. Flat printing will take 1-2 weeks. Hand stamping can take up to 4 weeks depending on the quantities required.

FAQs how to order.png

How long to I need to allow to get my order in time?

The absolute best idea in the world is to contact me as soon as possible to make your order for whatever magical occasion you will be having. The more time I have to design and create the better!

Time scales do vary for each project. As a guide however, custom orders form your first point of contact with me to the items landing at you door can take 3-4 weeks depending on the amount of customisation required. Bespoke orders can take at least 5-6 weeks. I can occasionally accommodate ‘rush orders’ depending on our workload. If you do need something on a tight timescale please contact me clearly stating this and I‘ll  see what I can do.

How much will my order cost?

We don’t currently provide prices on our website as each order is unique. As a guide 100 custom invites with RSVP’s, location cards and envelopes will cost between £250-£300. Bespoke orders usually cost around £500 for 100 invites with RSVP’s, location cards and save the dates costing extra. Please clearly state your budget when contacting me.

How many proofs do I receive?

A maximum of 3 complimentary proofs are included in the total cost of bespoke orders. 2 complimentary proofs are included in the total cost of custom orders. Any changes required after these will incur a small fee.

The colour of my proof is slightly different to the the colour of the items I’ve received. Why?

The colours shown in the proofs may vary slightly to the finished items you receive. This is due the face that colour settings on devices are all set up differently so the colour I see on my screen will be slightly different to what you see. If you are hoping for the colours in your stationary to match a particular item in your wedding/party such as a bridesmaid dress - please send me a sample of the material and I will match the stationary as accurately as I can.

What happens if there is a delay with my order?

We all know that life, unfortunately isn’t always perfect. Things sometimes happen which are out of our control. Due to this annoying fact there may be times where materials required for your design may arrive late or there may be some problems with the printers. I do everything I can to prevent these problems from happening by only using suppliers I trust. However if there are any problems which will affect the agreed deadlines I will notify you immediately and together we can decide on a plan of action - there is always a solution to these little hiccups!

What kind of shipping do you use?

We use either Royal Mail 1st Class Recorded Delivery or a courier depending on the size of the order. Opposite Of Ordinary are not responsible for any delays, damages or loss caused by the carrier. However, we always purchase insurance to cover the value of the order.

We do ship internationally. Please note that for international deliveries, you are responsible for all import duties and taxes. International delivery may also exceed expected delivery time so please keep this in mind when calculating deadlines.

Do you offer refunds?

You will be kept in the loop through the initial stages of the design process which ensures that what we will create for you is something that you will love to bits!

In the unfortunate event that you do wish to cancel your order we cannot offer a refund I'm afraid. All orders, including bespoke part payments, are non-refundable due to the personal nature of the project. However you will not be require to pay the final 50% payment if you have cancelled during the design stages.

I only print the approved proof. If any replacements are due to errors, they will be charged in full so it is extremely important that you carefully check all the information, design details, grammar, spelling and size on any proof before approving them. Opposite of Ordinary are not responsible for any printed mistakes unless we deviate from the approved proof.
